The commissioning of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) required an original approach to the delivery of  event services In the Arabian Gulf. Derek Wilson played a key role in the  Introduction of the   concept and delivery  of the first primary fit venue rigging service to the middle east. This method of delivery was soon adopted by other venues in the region including the Dubai World Trade Centre.
